GJORGJI JOLEVSKI – “PETAR TEMELKOVSKI IS AN INEXHAUSTIBLE SOURCE OF IDEAS WHO APPROACHES ANY THEME WITH GREAT SERIOUSNESS”
In the history of the Macedonian theatre the name of Peter Temelkovski will enter as the actor who has played the major roles from the world's most important plays: Trigorin in "Seagull" by Chekhov, Pozo in "Waiting for Godot" by Beckett, Beranzhe in "Rhinoceros" by Ionesco, Oedipus in "King Oedipus" by Sophocles and so on and so onwards, as Peter would say funnily. Each director who wants stability, serenity, inventiveness and contemporary approach to their work they award the leading role with great joy to this inexhaustible source of ideas who approaches any topic with unbelievable seriousness.
One of the most awarded actors in Macedonia with prestigious awards as “Sterijna Nagrada", "Laurel wreath","November 13","Risto Shishkov ", "Vojdan Chernodrinski"and so on and so onwards, do not stop the restless spirit of my colleague to be in constant search of the unknown, to be as Ulysses in search of new places and new excitements in order to learn the secret of magic- at the same time creating it. Characteristically for Petar is his strong individuality and inviolability in defence of the Macedonian way of life, Macedonian literary word, history and anything related to Macedonia. Exactly this commitment to issues related to the motherland push him into one of the hardest forms of theatre, the monodrama, in order to offer his views through the topics he chooses, to his beloved audience worldwide. Petar Temelkovski cultivates his art in cinema as well and his character Duko in the "Longest road" by Petre M. Andreevski directed by Branko Gapo, will never disappear from the hearts of his fans. In the recent years working as artistic director of the National Theatre Festival "Vojdan Chernodrinski” in Prilep again and again reiterated his concern for nurturing the Macedonian theatre. "Children of the Sun", monodrama which will be presented to the Ohrid Festival audience, is the authorial project of Petar Temelkovski and its theme is derived from the divine words from the First Epistle of St. Paul the Apostle to the Thessalonians.
