Born in 1978, Maximilian Bratt grew up in a musical family. He began piano lessons at an early age and shortly after started playing the violin as well. After graduating from secondary school he was admitted as a foundation scholar at the Royal College of Music in London on both piano and violin as joint principal studies graduating in 2001 with first class honours on both instruments. At the RCM he studied the piano with Professor Irina Zaritskayaand the violin with Dr. Felix Andrievsky. He continues his development at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna to achieve a Master Degree as well. Maximilian has given many recitals on both instruments and performed as a soloist and a chamber musician in several countries like England, Portugal,Spain, Russia, Belarus, Sweden and Austria.
Pianist Carl Pontén is recognized as one of Sweden’s finest and most sensitive pianists. Having finished his studies in Sweden with Tore Almgren, Stockholm he was rewarded a scholarship from the Italian government and went to Florence, Italy where he studied for several years with Pietro Rigacci. Following he studied with Dario de Rosa. He has taken part in master classes at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Prof. Andrzej Jaszinskij and in Prague with Prof.Radoslav Kvapil. He performs both as a soloist and in chamber music formations.In duo he has performed with Dimitri Ashkenazy, Stanislav Apolin, Sergey Antonov and others.
